We realize there are many schools of thought, but here are the details we believe will help you obtain the most beneficial and positive changes to your body as possible.
Within the first 24 to 36 hours of abstaining from solid foods, the body enters a state of detoxification. Energy that was used for digestion is now being redirected to cleansing the body. The raw and organic juices act as cleansing agents, their enzymes dissolving the toxins and releasing them from the body.
Before the Cleanse:
Eat vegetarian for 1 to 2 days prior to starting the cleanse. This will help get your body acclimated and also alleviate some of the symptoms such as headaches.
During the Cleanse:
Drinks lots of water
Start each morning with a glass of warm water and lemon to help alkaline your body
Eliminate alcohol, nicotine, refined sugars, wheat and caffeine.
Listen to your body, it will tell you what to do!
After the Cleanse:
We recommend you eat vegetarian for another day or two, but if you feel like you want to indulge in other foods, then please do so as you’ve earned it!
Q. In what order do I consume my juices?
A. Consume the Power Greens first as your body absorbs the most nutrients in the morning. Then drink the Citrus Detox (Lemon) second as this will give you energy and improve digestion. End the day with the Nut Mylk which will be satisfying and filling. Then for the rest, mix the other three in between to your liking. The goal is to consume a juice every 2 to 3 hours throughout the day!
Q. Can I exercise while on a cleanse?
A. Definitely! We are eliminating toxins and gentle exercise will help this process along. You may have to modify your workout to a lighter load than usual.
Q. Can I eat during my cleanse?
A. If needed, please feel free to eat raw nuts or vegetables throughout cleanse. You can also make a low sodium vegetable soup. An avocado with lemon juice is a good snack! Listen to your body and try to eat as little as possible. Consume small snacks as needed. We want your body to focus on detoxifying and not have to work on new food intake.
Q. Will I lose weight during my cleanse?
A. The answer to this is variable. Your body knows what to do, so trust it. We try not to focus on weight loss as a goal but most people do shed some weight. Balancing your natural, healthiest physical and mental state is what’s key to you becoming your personal best.
Q. What are some of the symptoms that can be expected during a cleansing program?
A. During the cleansing your body is breaking down all of the obstructions and essentially making room for the new building materials that will be taking place. This means that your body has to move out waste products while building new material. Some of the symptoms you may experience are: headaches, low energy, brain fog, diarrhea, gas and extreme cravings for sweet and salty foods.
