The Neighborhood Acai

Founders Chris and Doug both graduated from Cal Poly over 10 years ago with an idea that they wanted to stay immersed in the SLO life while providing some sort of value to the community. Years ago on a trip to San Diego they went out for breakfast and both came across The Acai Bowl, something both have never heard of. They were amazed at how this wasn't just a basic smoothie, but a full breakfast meal in a bowl. It was not only delicious, but healthy and provided natural energy to start the day off right.

  

Acai, along with many of our other ingredients are considered super foods. Superfoods are nutritionally dense foods that provide a powerful sources of antioxidants, healthy fats, vitamins, minerals and other health promoting properties. 

  

After years of enjoying Acai Bowls and Super Foods, we came up with the ingenious idea to bring our love for Super Foods and Acai bowls home to SLO. Like our name states, we are all about the neighborhood by using local ingredients, promoting local art, and using environmental friendly products to protect our neighborhood. After all, we are all part of the same community, so might as well enjoy life together.
